Learn why it is important to get your difficult sexual health questions answered by someone like you, that gets you and has the training and resources to you need. Hudson Valley Pride 2019

This year’s Hudson Valley Pride March & Festival will take place on June 2nd, 2019 in New Paltz, NY.

During the month of June the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center hosts over a dozen events and activities in honor and celebration of Pride Month and there are plenty of ways to get involved. See below for other Pride Month events.

PRIDE MARCH AND FESTIVAL

In February of 2004 the same-sex weddings performed by then New Paltz Mayor Jason West and local clergy pushed the lesbian gay bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) community to the forefront in New York and across the nation. Those weddings led to the first New Paltz Pride March & Festival held in June 2005 which in turn led to the formation of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center. The Pride March & Festival has continued to grow ever since.

PRIDE EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

During the month of June the Center hosts over a dozen events and activities in honor and celebration of Pride Month. Check out the Pride Guide in May to get a full listing and description of all events, plus more information about marshals, sponsors, and elected officials.

Drag Brunch 2018: Trixie Strikes Back

It’s time once again for delicious brunch food, mimosas, drag performers and Match Game! Liz, Dirk and the staff of Gunk Haus in Clintondale invite you to the 2018 Drag Brunch, a fundraiser for Hudson Valley Community Services. Hostess Trixie Starr is sure to sweeten the deal with the always-fun games and spicy banter. Local superstars including JoJo Gerard, Boxxa Vine and Valkyrie Hail will perform classic favorites and pop hits that will get you grooving to music by Superior Sounds. Crystal Meth, MSM & HIV – Training

Crystal Meth use continues to be a major health threat to MSM in New York State. This 2-day course will increase knowledge of crystal meth use among MSM, describe how use impacts risk for HIV infection, discuss harm reduction strategies as well as share a sample assessment tool. Relevant resources will also be discussed.

This course is CASAC/CPP/CPS approved for 13.0 Credit Hours
