THRIVES Nutrition Program

A woman holding a healthy appleTHRIVES is dedicated to improving and enhancing the nutritional needs of HIV positive individuals and families. We work with clients in Putnam, Rockland and Westchester* to instill a commitment to making healthy and nutritious choices. The program aims to assist clients in developing their skills and increase their knowledge about nutrition and health. The goal is ultimately to enhance the clients’ ability to be nutritionally self-sufficient.

Individuals who are HIV positive and their dependent children may qualify for this program if they are currently receiving inadequate nutrition. A screening with the Nutritional Coordinator will be conducted to make a full assessment of a client’s nutritional needs. Once clients are determined eligible for the program, they will have the opportunity to attend educational workshops with a State Certified Nutritionist and with the Nutritional Coordinator.

  • Provide proof of being HIV positive.
  • Be currently receiving inadequate nutrition.
  • Be income eligible:

    if two people under $35K,
