Men’s Services Program: HIV and STI Prevention

HVCS’ Men’s Services Program provides education/prevention services along with testing services specifically for men. We offer a safe non-judgmental environment. We encourage open and frank conversations about safer sex, STI’s, hooking up, culture and community. We provide free, confidential rapid HIV tests, sexually transmitted disease screenings (including gonorrhea and chlamydia tests via urine sample, and syphilis via blood draw) and hepatitis C tests.

Our Prevention Specialists are well versed in making referrals for anything you might need, from LGBTQ-friendly services to medical care to mental health or even drug use harm reduction. We also offer guidance and support regarding PrEP: pre-exposure prophylaxis–taking an anti-HIV medication daily to prevent HIV infection.

Our Prevention Specialists offer safer sex workshops on an ongoing basis too. These are groups for guys who want to talk about sex, taboos, family, community and everything in between. These workshops are also a great way to meet new people in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

If you’re a guy between the ages of 13 and 29 who identifies as gay, bi, queer, questioning or transgender, or if you just like to have sex with other guys, you also may be interested in our Peer Health Alliance program.
